All my arrangements are created either for myself, for my students, or for ensembles I've played in. That means they "work" and are concert/audience tested! The music has been transcribed so as to sacrifice as little as possible
of the composer's intentions, in many cases presenting familiar pieces with "restored" passages/sections (Canarios, Estudio Brilliant, Sevilla). Sometimes I've found that a new key and/or scordatura results in an improved version from the standard approach (Andaluza, Asturias, Chaconne, Siciliano).
GDG Editions offers a tremendous amount of "chamber music": great pieces for guitar & 1 other instrument, guitar & 2 instruments, and various size (from duo to quintet) guitar ensemble music. All with the same high standards of
transcription and editing -- and good (well thought-out) page turns!
In all the music, dynamics & phrasing (or bowing) indications from the
original are included in the transcription. Guitar fingering (strategic and
for musical reasons), often including important passages for
the RH, is an essential part of these arrangements.
Check out the GDG Editions catalogue (below). It will "read" better on a computer (not phone): composer > title > difficulty level > # of pages > cost.
Contact me if you'd like to obtain some music or would like a more complete description & "screen shot" (like the music displayed here) of any of the
pieces listed. More examples of music are shown on page 3 of this website (Written Music Gallery). Not all the music listed is available yet, nor is all the music that will be available listed yet. Stay tuned!
standard guitar notation is used (strings, LH & RH fingers, barres, harmonics) plus occasionally additional symbols which are explained in the edition
